Gothaven (pronounced: Got-Haven) is a social movement thought up by Jack Danyá Kemplin. Gothaven is planned to become a group of individual who decide to ban together to form a community, a literal town of only Goths. As of this moment Goth is merely a subculture, it is the Gothaven goal to make it more then just a subculture, but an actual culture. Think about it, what separates a subculture from a true culture? A subculture is a culture within another culture, it is lesser then the culture, not as good as the culture. Well we plan to change all of that, we wish to separate Goth from other cultures & make it not a sub culture, but a full fledged culture. Don't we deserve it? Have we not suffered the persecutions of this culture enough? We deserve to be without persecutions, we deserve our own pure culture, where we can't be persecuted because we are the culture. & How may we go about doing this? We shall form our own town, a village of only Goths, & only our ways. This town shall be called Gothaven, for it shall be a haven for all Goths, a safe place were we can be, & not be persecuted for who we are. Do we not dream of this? then lets let this be! We shall come together, we shall fight (metaphorically) , we shall stand up, & if they will persecute us, then we shall leave them, we need not them; it is high time we come into our own again, & become a true culture once more. Lets come together a build our future, build our own culture & community, build our own land, a land that is for us & us alone, lets build our safe place, lets build our Gothic haven, lets build our Gothaven!
