Submission Guidelines

CROW SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

1. Submission of works to VC MUST be genuine and respectful to the people who organize VC & C3.

2. Work must have a clear and definite premise and must not disrespect or satire any of the characters created by James O'Barr, VC, or C3 characters. This also goes for the creators of The Crow, VC, or C3 in general.

3. VC Crow related stories must NOT have the words "The Crow" as the main title with a sub-title of their own attached; their title must only consist of their original title. (i.e. "The Crow: Dark Nights" is NOT acceptable, "River of Pain" IS acceptable, & "The Crow Said Don't Look" IS acceptable, but "The Crow: Said Don't Look" is NOT acceptable)

4. All VC stories must be original. Using other VC or C3 characters is not allowed unless the permission of writer/artist is given. All VC comics, Poetics, and Shorts must be sufficiently, or partially attached to the themes and conventions used in Crow stories.

5. If you do have a VC comic you would like to submit you must display some form of conceptual artwork and/or some outline of the plot first.

6. Comics may be of any length. Shorts must be no more than 3,500 words, & may contain as few as zero images & as many as comic book style pages. Shorter stories are WELCOME. Poetics can have either zero to one image to it related to the subject.

7. Send completed works to vc@jackkemplin.com for further exposure through the VC main page, VC forum, and/or Online Community.

8. For release purposes, it is best if each completed part is finished for release well before the actual release date.

9. Any additional material (lyrics, poetry, etc) may be used, as long as the creator is credited.

10. It is also best that the creative teams on projects do as much as possible to complete the project, (e.g. lettering, image positioning) with the final product being completed either JPEG PNG or GIF images.

11. The avatar (the person brought back from the dead) of The Crow is to NEVER be referred to as The Crow, but only by their birth name or alias. The Crow is the bird that brought them back from the dead.
